Most of our time here looked the same. We ordered room service every morning- which was fabulous, and then quickly made our way to the beach. Where the resort is located we had mountains on both sides of us, so it was truly beautiful. Walks were a daily activity. I was very proud and impressed with Brian for 'laying out' aka napping under the tiki hunts, while I bathed in the sunshine and read. Hollie let me borrow one of her books, Chelsea Chelsea Bang Bang. I finished it on day 2 so Brian and I adventured to the market across the street thinking we could find some neat things for really cheap considering the Peso to the US Dollar is in our favor. Not the case but I did get another book, Chasing Harry Winston.
Our resort had an array of yummy restaurants and we definitely got our money's worth here. Several nights we would order a third entree to split as an appetizer.
Our favorites were the Asian/Sushi Restaurant
and the Italian Restaurant, which we never once got any pasta but seafood.
And of course dessert every night.
Each night in the main lobby bar they would have a show. It was a fun way to end the night after dinner and run into some of the people we had meet that day at the resort. One night it was a Las Vegas Show, another night Karaoke, the play Mama Mia, and a circuse show.
On our last night there, we went on a sunset cruise along with a sweet couple from Charlotte we had meet at our resort. We had such a great time seeing much of the Puerto Vallarta from water.
During the cruise the boat captain picked a few 'senors' to help him with a skit and Brian was picked. To my misfortune he needed the help from his 'senorita'.
For the skit Brian had to straddle a donkey,
Gallop over to the other side of the boat where I was, say a little line in spanish, and then we had to dance around the sombrero.
We truly had a blast and were so thankful to be able to share this time together for our one year anniversary. Here are a few more pictures from our trip.
