A Dirty Thirty All White Party

I feel that as I get older I go through season where I attend the same kind of parties/events for an extended period before moving on to the next season.

Growing up the biggest event I would be invited to would be friends birthday parties. For Milledgeville that would normally be a pool party or a roller skating rink party. Every now and then someone would get creative and do something crazy- like driving to Atlanta for ice skating or Macon to go to a Whoopie game (hockey).

High school was filled with field parties and camping parties on Goat Island on Lake Sinclair.

The college years were full of fraternity band parties and sorority socials. The biggest drama was who you were going to ask to go with you to your events and praying your crush would ask you to theirs.

Wedding season has been in full force probably since graduation, if not a little before. But I love each and everyone that I have been so blessed to be invited to and never miss one if at all possible. After this year I am a sad to think this time in my life will slow down drastically.

The next stage is rapidly approaching- Baby Season! No, stop right there. I am not announcing I am pregnant, but some very special friends of mine have little ones and others will not be far behind and I could not be more elated.

Right now, I feel like many of my friends and friend's spouses are turning 30. "Dirty Thirty" Parties are all around. Maggie threw her husband one in April and it was too fun- read about it here. As I mentioned here, Jamie's husband Gary turned 30 last week. Gary and one of his friends had a joint Dirty Thirty Party at The IVY in Buckhead this past weekend. Everyone was asked to wear all white.

I was truly impressed that everyone really took this seriously. We had our own private room where everyone was able to socialize and eat some yummy food while celebrating the Birthday Boys.

Gary was not exactly thrilled about the chosen attire for the evening. He kept telling us he was going to wear all black as if in mourning. A little Michael Jackson song came on and Gary showed us his moves- he just needed a white glove.

A Special Happy Birthday Cheers To Gary!
