Brian's Birthday Celebrations

We celebrated Brian's birthday all weekend ending in Macon the day before Thanksgiving with my crazy family.

Saturday we started by going out to eat dinner @ 5 Seasons Brewing with some friends. We had a great time, laughing, talking, eating of course and toasting to Brian.

Once we were done with dinner we headed to Ormby's . This is one of our favorite places to go in Atlanta. Here there are several games like Backgammon, Bocce, Darts, Pool, and Shuffleboard you can play while hanging out with your friends, and even a photo booth. We actually did not get to play any of the games this time because there was a large crowd. But that was okay, we were more interested in socializing anyway.

Sunday, we celebrated the Wages Thanksgiving during lunch. Over thirty people were there, with everyone (or every couple/family) bringing a cover dish. There was tons of food! My eyes were definitely bigger than my tummy. Once we got back we collapsed on the couch. I was dying to give Brian his gifts, so I caved and gave them to him a day early. I think he liked them ;-)

On Monday I was so sad to be leaving Brian at home on his birthday. He was able to take the day off, but I am all out of time off from work- not even an hour saved up. So I tried making it as special as I could. I had the singing Birthday Bear all set up with his banana, oj and Reese Puffs cereal when he came down for breakfast. I even got him to wear the cake birthday hat. (Brian would not allow any morning pictures.) I basically begged him to come up towards my office so that I could eat lunch with him. We went to a placed I had told him about called The Counter- a custom build burger place. He really enjoyed it- it is so much fun to check off what size burger you want, if you want chicken, beef, turkey, or veggie, if you want it on a bun or in a bowl, what toppings you want, what cheese, and what sauce (there were like 20 sauces to choose from). Brian got a 1/3lb beef burger on a bun with lettuce, tomato, grilled onions, black bean and corn salsa, guacamole, tillamook cheddar and the chipotle ailoi, while I got a 1/3lb veggie burger in a bowl with tomatoes, black bean and corn salsa, grilled onions, roasted red peppers, avocado with the sun dried tomato sauce. We also had an order of the sweet potato fries to split. I was stuffed the rest of the afternoon.

That night we met up with Mr and Mrs Wages and Chris at California Pizza Kitchen for dinner and more gifts. What, complimentary birthday sundae- yes please.

But it still was not over- Wednesday we loaded up and headed to Macon to celebrate with my family.
Brian had some extra hands helping with the gifts.

I can't speak for Brian but I think he had a good birthday celebration.
