Jackson Turns One

Our good friends Jake and Lindsay Hooten celebrated the first birthday of their precious boy Jackson this weekend, and Brian and I were tickled to be invited to the party. Lindsay did an incredible job. The theme was "Camp Jackson" and had all sorts of fun camping, outdoors and owls (their little Hoot) decor.

A large tent was set up in the front yard for the children to play in.

Lindsay made this cute "Jackson" Banner and had a framed picture of Jackson at each month. He has changed so much from the his newborn pictures to the little man he has grown into in just 12 short months.

The table scape was perfect. I love the moss covered "J" and large white owl. Food included peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, ants on a log, buffalo chicken dip, turkey and ham wraps and fritto pies.

When it was time for opening gifts, Jackson was more interested in playing in the fireplace or with the paper than the actual gifts for the most part. Every now and then something would grab his attention.

Lindsay got his cake made by a local baker- Little Jackson's Owl Cake was egg and dairy free.

Stripped down and ready to dig in. At first he was a little hesitant but after a few licks from mommy's finger he knew what to do.

What a fun party! I was in baby heaven playing with so many little ones. Jackson was grinning the whole time, eating up all the attention.

And check out these amazing party favors for the kiddos. Brian really wanted one but I had to keep reminding him they were just for the other little boys and little girls.

Happy Birthday Sweet Jackson!!
