On this day as we have time off from work -yay!- probably spending time with family and friends in the sunshine, let us remember the meaning of today. Today is a day of remembering those who have died in our nation's service. I for one fall guilty of losing sight of the reason and focus on the beach, never once pausing for even one minute to say a prayer for those who are serve, past, present or future, and for the families of these brave men and women.
So today, I challenge myself and I challenge you to bow your head and say and quick prayer, asking God to bless all those who put their life on the line to better protect and serve our country. If someone in your family has served, call them today to thank them. They will appreciate more than you could probably imagine.
