Micah will soon be making his big debut next month and we all cannot wait. The soon to be parents, Erica and Ryan, are in our small group, so this past weekend some girlfriends of Erica threw a joint baby shower. With several people not knowing each other, all planning and arrangements were made via email. I was a bit hesitant about how it would actually come together, but I could not be more pleased.
Here is our food table: On the menu, Brunch: Fresh Fruit Platter, Hash brown Casserole, Breakfast Casserole, Baked Grits, Yogurt Parfaits, Mini Biscuits- some with country ham served with Homemade Blackberry Butter, and Cinnamon Crumb Cake.
We did not want to play many games, but did have 2 different activites for our guest.
These precious cards had the beginning for several 'wishes' for Baby Micah. We then had to fill in the blank. Some examples were, "I hope you learn..." "I hope you remember..." "I hope you go..." "I hope you never forget..." I loved this and thought it was so neat to see what everyone wrote.
Another thing we did was something I had seen randomly on another blog and thought it was a cute idea.We had diapers for the guest to write a message for the new mom and dad to encourage them through all the many, many daily diaper changes.
Here are more pictures from the shower:
This post was erased by blogger, only my beginning draft had saved, so here is my quick added version. Sorry if some things got left off this go round.
