Happy Mother's Day

On Mother's Day, as we all honor the mother's in our lives, giving special attention and thanks, I want to share how wonderful my mother and Nan-nee is to me.

They are my best friends.

We spend more time in the kitchen or "taking to the bed" than anywhere else.

We love to laugh.

They are two of the most astounding Christian Woman Role Models.

Their love is unconditionally.

They are beautiful beyond words.

They are the first I call every day.

They are the only ones who actually care what I eat for lunch. ;-)

They bring pure Joy to all they encounter.

Just to name a few.

Yesterday Brian and I went to Macon to celebrate over lunch with Mom, Jim, Nan-nee, Gran-dee and Matt. I just had to see my lovely mom and grandma, and could not bare "just seeing them next week." I am so proud of them and love them dearly.

God has also blessed me with another mother- my sweet mother-in-law.

I don't really see her as an "in law"- she is to me just an extension of my own mother. It is so nice that Brian's parents live so close, especially since mine live a couple hours away. From day one, Miss Marie has treated me as she does her own children. I feel loved by her constantly and could not have handpicked a sweeter, more genuine mother in law. This picture was taken just a few weeks ago when Brian and I treated Mr and Mrs Wages to dinner @ Wisteria to celebrate Miss Marie's Birthday.
