Last Friday after work Brian and I went over to visit with our lovely friends Jamie and Gary. They have recently moved into a home in Smyrna so we wanted to check our their new place, as well as celebrate a special birthday. Brian and I loved their place. It is a precious ranch style home, with a very open floor plan and character seeping out of every corner.
There kitchen has a ton of storage space and it opens up to living room and dining area. I am sure Jamie enjoys cooking dinner some nights while being able to visit and talk to Gary as he relaxes on the sofa. You can tell that the original home owners must have had a resident in a wheel chair as many items are a bit lower than normal, but I actually liked that feature.
The boys grilled us up some yummy chicken and steaks, even throwing the veggies and potatoes on the grill too.
It took just a bit of time for the pups to get to know each other, but I think by the end of the night they were best friends. I like to think so anyway.
Monday was Jamie's Sweet Sixteen... plus 11. So we celebrated with
GiGi's Cupcakes.
They are amazing if you have never tried them you must. They are that good I promise. Starting at 12 o'clock and moving clockwise we had a Carrot Cake Cupcake, Strawberry Shortcake Cupcake, Turtle Chocolate Cupcake, and a Champagne Cupcake.
We were so glad we go to celebrate her birthday and visit with such sweet friends. Sophie missing Terra.
