How Sweet! A big Thank You to Sweet Emily at The Halls for tagging me and awarded me The Versatile Blogger Award! Her blog follows her and her precious family, husband Andy and fur-kid, Penny. For the award, you need to do the below:
1. Thank the person that gave you the award & link back to them in your post.
2. Share 7 things about yourself.
3. Pass this award to a few other recently discovered bloggers.
7 Interesting Facts About Me:
1. I have a spot on my head where hair doesn't really grow. When I was young, my mom was baking so of course I was "helping," aka standing in a chair watching and waiting to lick the beaters. Well, my mom had just added 2 eggs so I leaned over to watch them closer get mixed in while my mom had turned to throw the shells away. My hair got got sucked into the beaters, head jamming into the mixer. I screamed like crazy. My mom spent hours untangling my hear from the mixer and I had a bald spot for several months. The spot has never been the same.
2. I am a horrible typer. In high school I was able to exempt most if not all my final exams- expect typing.
3. I am affectionately known as and called "Goob" by by brother. To be honest, I do not even remember how this nickname got started but it was sometime when I was in middle school. My brother started calling me this and my best girlfriends were named the "Goobettes." My identity became Goob no matter how hard I tried to get him to start referring to me as this. School peers, older kids at that, started calling me this- I even had one teacher call me this regularly during class. Even now when I come home I see people and they call me Goob. I think they have forgotten my real name.
4. I was a Tom-boy growing up. I lived on a street where all the kids were boys. I played sports, made forts, played in the sprinklers with my shirt off (hey, they were doing it and I did not look any differently than they did at the time), you name it- what ever they were doing I was doing as well.
5. I work for a Fiber Optics company. One of my dearest and closest friends asked me weeks after I had been working here "What do your bosses think of IBS?" She thought I was working for a dietary fiber company ;-)
6. I go shopping often- but rarely buy anything. I will look and analyze it for hours, but more times than not, I find something I do not like about it.
7. I have become am a Crazy Dog Owner. You know, the people who talk to their pets in strange voices, treat them like humans, plans their schedules around being at home with them. I use to think and say I would never become one of these people. At least I admit it.
And for the blogs I have really enjoyed lately ... umm, all the ones on my Blog List actually. But to keep this going I will only tag a few and let you tag each other.
