Home Improvements: DINING ROOM

I am so excited to show you our Dining Room Improvements. I took pictures of the dining room before Brian and I started fixing it up- but cannot find them anywhere. I think I deleted them during our Luxembourg/Paris trip- check out post on this trip here and here. Thankfully I do have pictures of this room in it's condition when Brian moved it- these lovely Before and Afters are at the bottom of the post.

All the walls in our house are either beige or brown- great colors of beige and browns I may add, but I have been pleading with Brian for us to paint. Finally, Success!

We painted over the brown walls this room was with this gold for a pop of color.

We were borrowing a table from the Wages- it was square and a lighter wood than the other furniture in the room. Now we have a table handed down from my parents- round and darker stained wood. The chairs are new -we purchased them from The Dump.

The lighting in this room was a white ceiling fan- Now a pretty new Hampton Bay Alta Loma Collection 6-Light Bronze Chandelier from Home Depot!

I had not hung any curtains in here until I knew what color scheme we were going to use. Brian and I found these fun curtains at World Market.

We have 2 pictures hanging in our dining room.
This one is also from World Market

And these are paintings Mom and Jim brought us back from their trip to Italy. This wall was begging for a little attention and there were perfect. I love them! Confession: I kind of pretend I was there when I look at them.

We have had our china cabinet since our first Christmas together. It was a joint gift from my Mom and Jim and my Nan-nee and Gran-dee. I just love it so wanted to show a picture of it too. It looks great when we have the light in it on against the gold walls.

Here are some Before Pictures of the Dining Room when Brian just moved in...

We are very pleased with our Dining Room and feel it flows nicely into our Living Room- pictures here.

Slowly but surely we are making our way around the house making, sometime small, improvements that most match our personalities.

Next up... The Patio. We are currently working on this area now so hopefully before too long I will be able to share more updates with you all.
