Our Valentines

I hope everyone had a fabulous Valentine's Day. Brian and I had an amazing evening celebrating each other and our relationship. I was traveling to see customers all day yesterday so I beat Brian home and had a little 'happy' waiting on him.
Inside were little gifts, mostly edible, with notes on why I love him so much. I realize this was super cheesy, but I am okay with that.
The contents of the bag contained:
Milano Melts Cookies- You Make My Heart MELT
Rockstar Energy Drink- You Are My ROCKSTAR
Caramel Coffee Syrup- You Make Every Cup of Coffee SWEETER
Combos, Cheddar Cheese Crackers- You + Me = Perfect COMBO
Lucky Charms Cereal- You Are My LUCKY CHARM
Hershey's Hugs Chocolates- You Give The Best HUGS & KISSES
ITunes Gift Card- You can MOVE and GROOVE to the MUSIC

And to my surprise Brian brought me these little gems- a Reese Cup and a Oreo Cupcake.
I haven't been able to taste them yet as we had super fun dinner plans last night and I did not want to spoil it. But I cannot wait to dig in.

For dinner we went to Watershed in downtown Decatur, located in a converted gas station. We have been dying to try it for awhile now and both thought this would be the perfect occasion. We did not know it at the time we made our reservations but they had a special 4 Course Menu for last night. Upon being seated we were each served a complimentary glass of champagne.

For the First Course: Brian order the Baked Oysters and I got the Beet and Fennel Salad with Pistachios.

For the Second Course: We both got the North Caroline Trout, with Crabmeat, Spinach and Hollandaise Sauce. * This was my favorite

For the Third Course: Brian ordered the Lamb Bolognese and I ordered the Roasted Winter Vegetable over some type of grain- I can't remember the name of it, but the waitress described it as a mix between couscous and risotto.

For for Dessert: Brian got the Lemon Souffle Cheesecake with Raspberry Puree and I got the Banana Pecan Bread Pudding with Banana Ice Cream and Rum Sauce.

Everything was SO GOOD! Sadly I have zero pictures to share of any of these- wasn't the type of place I felt comfortable pulling out my camera and snapping pictures of my food. This is the only one I got. I don't know why I always feel the need to lean forward, I guess I feel I am going to be cut out of the picture or something.
It was such a fun experience and loved that it lasted a long time - we really got to enjoy the night and each other. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice dinner out.

Thanks to my sweet husband for such a wonderful evening. Love you.
